How your day looks like

Let us introduce to you the wonderful world of Consumer Safety within the DEKRA organization.

In Consumer Safety we work with a team of experts. Our clients are very diverse and the innovative products we work also.

We test, for example, EV charging stations, 3D printers, Electro Medical Devices, lab measurement equipment and various sorts of professional electronic products.

Products are becoming increasingly complex with complicated electronics, embedded software and wireless options. Here starts your challenge as Test Engineer.

Your responsibility is to test these latest innovations against the latest relevant safety standards. You work on several customer projects at the same time, not only in the state-of-art DEKRA lab but also the client’s location.

You divide your time between working in the lab, processing the results you measured in reports for our clients and working with your team colleagues such as project managers, sales and support office staff.

Responsibilities

Performing independent testing, 20% of your time you will be spending in the lab;

Performing safety assessments based on international standards or on the basis of risk-based assessments and testing;

Reporting of the (preliminary) test results;

Keeping the project manager and the client informed regarding the status and progress.

What we expect from you

Master or Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or similar;

Experience with measuring electrical equipment;

Flexibility to easily switch between the several projects;

Good knowledge of Dutch and English language (German is an advantage but not required);

Knowledge of international standards such as IEC 62368, IEC 60950, IEC 61010 and IEC 60601 is an advantage;

You are flexible and if you willing to take initiatives, we would like to welcome you to our team.
