Royal Schiphol Group
Royal Schiphol Group brings the world within reach. We connect the Netherlands with the rest of the world, creating value for the economy and society.
Achieving this involves over 2,000 employees working 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our ambition is to develop Schiphol into Europe’s best hub Airport, both for passengers and for airlines.
Innovation is key to achieve this ambition.
The Digital department at Schiphol is organized into three Value Streams, based on the three Schiphol priorities : Airport & Airline Performance, Customer Experience and Smart Assets & Buildings.
There is also a Data & Analytics team that provides the Value Streams with (predictive) data and the Innovation Hub that focuses on Horizon 2 and 3 innovation.
The various "staffs", such as HR, finance and support, are represented across the department.
Where do you end up
You end up in the Smart Assets & Buildings stream.
Smart Assets & Buildings focuses on the development of "actionable" insights and products and services with which Schiphol's capacity (assets and buildings) can be utilized more sustainably and efficiently.
You end up in a team that is fully developing with ambitious goals.
The SmartVOP goal is currently : to ensure that disruptions do not affect the handling of aircraft. We do this by dealing smartly with assets.
As a front-end developer you'll be part of a scrum team working on a new application for Asset Management to help guarantee operational continuity at Schiphol.
