About the Role
Tasks and responsibilities
In this position, you will
Lead a team of Quality Auditors, manage professional expectations, amidst meeting and / or exceeding customer expectations.
Manage and monitor the effectiveness of the quality management system while coaching Quality Auditors to focus more on risk / defect prevention.
Adopt and implement best practices in the Quality Assurance and Control domain within the warehouse setup with the goal of increasing & maintaining a high quality KPI targets.
Implement effective, customised Quality Control methodologies to suit product and packaging inspection right from receiving of goods until dispatch.
Review and implement the adoption of a risk-based quality inspection criteria for product / packaging handling processes.
Monitor internal, external Quality KPIs and discuss variations with stakeholders; take ownership of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs).
Coach the Quality Auditing team on basic QA related methodologies and tools such as AQL, Sampling Plan, Cause and Effect Diagrams, 5 Whys, Control Charts, Pareto Analysis, etc.
Collect, organise, and analyse data using metrics, analysis tools and key performance indicators (KPI’s) to prioritize and execute improvement opportunities.
Resolve problems related to process improvement by analyzing internal and external data, including operations, inventory, quality, and customer information
Work with Quality Engineers, to complete root cause analysis, conduct detailed investigations, close CAPAs, own process improvements within the Quality department etc.
Work with peers from operations, inventory, customer support, planning, etc. to resolve errors, identify and mitigate risks, support new WMS deployments & introduction of new tools / processes etc.
Be the single point of contact for the assigned Quality Auditors’ team for escalations, capacity planning & management, performance monitoring, task allocation, holiday planning etc.
Be responsible for audits (done by Internal & external stakeholders), for developing & designing irreversible corrective actions for known problems, for managing quality processes and reports, for representing Quality Engineers and Manager as needed.
Qualifications and skills
Bachelor’s degree in the field of Logistics, Engineering, Supply Chain, and / or Quality.
5 to 6 years of proven experience in leading quality auditors within the warehouse / logistics environment; exposure to consumer electronics, electronic products will be an advantage.
Profound knowledge and experience with the implementation and application of QA methodologies and tools mentioned above.
Experience in working and leading multi-cultural teams is mandatory for this role as much as having a strong fundamental knowledge about Quality Control and its best practices.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, do effective capacity planning, lead by example to demonstrate the use of new / more efficient tools & best practices.
Through knowledge of principles and procedures used in logistics operations and practice; additional education, training or work experience in area of specialization inherent to the position may be required.
Excellent logical and analytical skills with focus on data driven decision making, with high attention to detail is crucial for being successful in this role.
Excellent communication skills both in writing and in speech with the ability to create and document process and procedures.
Ability to work within a very demanding environment, handling stress in a positive manner and having excellent organisational, problem solving skills.
Nice to Have Skills
Experience in Lean, Kaizen, and Six Sigma methodologies, leading projects & reporting / presenting results is beneficial.
Experience with WMS solutions / tools such as Blue Yonder, excellent knowledge in MS Office and / or Chrome OS (using G-suite) will be a distinct advantage.
