Your Career

As a Systems Engineer, you will help end customers understand how the latest Cyber Security technologies can enable their business.

You are the technology expert working with the sales team and with Channel Partners to make complex deals possible. As a connector between people, business and technology, your career can evolve in many different ways, either working on different sets of customers or influencing our technology development.

A Systems Engineer develops many transferable skills and is in for a fulfilling career with Palo Alto Networks.

Starting as a Presales Systems Engineer with the mid-sized account will provide a dynamic environment accelerating your learnings and your growth.

A fast paced environment will keep you engaged and happy. Customers are often seeing technologies as a business enabler and are not shy to test the latest and greatest technologies.

Your Impact

You're partnering with Channel Partners to fulfill customer needs and will directly influence customers on bigger projects.

It is business critical to engage with the right Channel Partners and think strategically with the account managers you are working with on how to best build the pipeline and close it.

You are the technical champion of the sales team and will thrive to exceed sales quotas with your sales peers.

Establish yourself as a trusted advisor to prospects, customers and local partners while working with your Account Managers

Enable and leverage channel partners SEs and work successfully in a channel-driven sales model

Interact locally and remotely with customers in an equally persuasive, confident manner

Identify, technically qualify new opportunities and support technical pre-sales activities to opportunity closure

Lead conversations about industry trends and emerging changes to the security landscape that every customer needs to be aware of

Understand and effectively present our security platform and solutions

Create and deliver compelling demonstrations of Palo Alto Networks products and solutions

When needed, create evaluation test plans with customers and lead the evaluation process to a successful conclusion

Expand the Palo Alto Networks install base within existing accounts

Architect and propose validated solutions which address the identified cybersecurity goals of our prospects and customers

Ensure ongoing customer happiness, support, adoption and assist customers through the support escalation process

Act as the customer advocate for any issues that require technical assistance and follow up with the customer until the issue is resolved

Understand and effectively differentiate against our top competitors

Continuous self-improvement and learning to maintain technical leadership of applicable technologies

Your Experience

Native Polish speaker

2+ years of experience as a successful pre-sales SE, systems integrator, or equivalent experience in one of our portfolio fields

BS in Computer Science or equivalent

Being fast at building trust, identifying the customer needs and proposing the best technical solution

Familiarity working with Channel partners and understanding of a channel-centric market approach

Strong analytical skills to evaluate complex multivariate problems and find a systematic approach to gain a quick resolution

Mature and effective time-management skills

Continuous technical development

Understand and effectively present our security platform to technical and non-technical audiences

A plus : working knowledge of Palo Alto Networks products, with a focus on Next-Generation Firewall and some comparative technologies

A plus : experience with systems installation, configuration and administration of routers / switches, UNIX / Linux, and Windows-based systems

A plus : experience that emphasizes L2-L4 Networks (L2 switching architectures including Spanning Tree, IP routing that includes OSPF and BGP, and L4 Load balancing)

A plus : experience and knowledge of modern network threats and malware, network forensics, automation tools and technologies, and endpoint security technologies

A plus : significant industry certifications (SANS, CISSP, CCIE, etc)
