Power Electronics Development Engineer
In this role, you will have the opportunity to be part of a founding team of international, experienced professionals and work on all aspects of product development, from capturing the client need to industrializing the product.
Additionally, you will coordinate technical interactions with external stakeholders (i.e. clients, partners, and suppliers) in the development and manufacturing phases.
This role provides the candidate an opportunity to become a seasoned systems professional.
With the help of the team, your responsibilities will be to :
Gather, define and write the detailed system requirements and specifications, based on user needs, applicable standards and regulatory constraints
Define an electrical design, based on the detailed system requirements and specifications, ensuring product precision, reliability, maintainability and ease of installation
Define the detailed qualification and certification test campaign as well as actual testing parameters
Develop functional prototypes (i.e. design, documentation, testing, and rapid iterations)
Serve as the principal point of contact for technical topics with development and manufacturing partners and suppliers
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience :
Design / development / feasibility studies for high-power (i.e. 1-50 kV, 1-5000 A) circuit-level / PCB pulsed power electronic systems
Pertinent experience with high voltage switching applications / high voltage transformers
Familiarity with silicon carbide / power MOSFET technologies
Familiarity with new product introduction / product development processes
Ability to understand and draft technical data sheets
Good understanding of applicable pulsed power electronic system standards, norms and development processes (e.g. EHS standards, ISO qualification requirements, etc.)
5+ years of experience in industrialized product development

Hard skills :
Relevant experience in an R&D role and mastery of associated methods and tools (e.g. design, simulation, and testing hardware / software)
Bachelor or master’s degree in electrical engineering or electronics
Experience in a regulated industry is preferred.
5+ years of professional experience required.
