WHAT YOU’LL BE IN CHARGE OF
As a Finance Controller, you will be responsible for the whole financial administration of specific foreign NewMotion entities.
You will work closely together with the Financial Accountant to ensure a timely, complete and accurate month end closing.
You have a high level understanding of the figures and can explain any deviations to the Group Finance Controller or any other stakeholder.
You are able to improve controls, reconciliations and feedback loops with the rest of the organisation. You are in close contact with the Business Controller to improve management information and with the external local accountants to understand and improve local reporting and compliance as well.
In addition, you will assist the Group Finance Controller with the group consolidation for our shareholder and the consolidated annual accounts.
You will help improve the financial administration as a whole by signalling tasks and processes open to improvements. You'll report directly to the Group Finance Controller.
THIS IS HOW YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE
Monitor all accounting operations for the assigned entities (including Revenue Recognition, Billing, GM Analysis, AP, Salary, Intercompany and Cost Accounting);
Prepare month-end process and publish timely monthly financial figures;
Prepare year-end close process and the required additional documentation;
Prepare tax filings and help comply with local reporting requirements :
Prepare shadow bookkeeping to assist the external accountants;
Prepare country specific tasks (e.g. OLEV grants and Intrastat requirements);
Coordinate and prepare the local audits;
Coordinate and prepare the internal weekly rhythm with the other departments;
Support the Group Finance Controller with additional reporting requirements;
Support the Group Finance Controller with the consolidated audit and annual accounts;
Develop a high level understanding of the business;
Develop and document business processes and ensure backup roles;
Manage the relation with internal and external stakeholders concerning the assigned entities;
Investigate efficiency and automation opportunities,
Implement improvements accordingly;
THIS IS WHO YOU ARE
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or equivalent;
1-5 years of experience in a Finance, Controlling or Accounting position;
A solid understanding of financial processes and accounting principles;
Team player, flexible and perseverant;
Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
Eager to learn and improve;
Good command of the English language, both written and spoken;
Experience with ERP Software, SalesForce and LucaNet would be a plus.
Experience with Telecom, automotive, mobility and / or utility is a strong plus.
