The Role :

As part of the ongoing growth of the business, Alpine Grove is seeking to add an Associate to their existing team in Amsterdam to cover Continental Europe and the UK.

Reporting to Rohit Wanchoo, Alpine Grove’s Partner responsible for developing new business in Continental Europe, the successful individual will be a creative thinker with strong technical skills who is able to support the analysis and execution of new and existing investments across multiple jurisdictions and business lines.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Assist in the sourcing and execution of real estate investment opportunities in multiple markets across Europe and a range of transaction types including standalone properties, portfolios and companies which shall include equity and debt transactions
  • Lead the underwriting and structuring of diverse real estate investments including undertaking the financial analysis and modelling of new investment opportunities as well as the due diligence and market analysis for acquisitions
  • Perform rigorous financial analysis of investment opportunities by building financial valuation models for underlying real estate assets as well as cash flow models
  • Prepare investment memoranda and management presentations for discussion with the investment committee
  • Support due diligence on investments across a broad range of transaction activities including entity, market, business, finance, accounting, tax and legal
  • Participate in the coordination of external advisers during due diligence and acquisition processes
  • Develop in-depth research on specific real estate topics including market pricing
  • Present to senior management
  • Assist in the financing process with financing sources including transaction documentation
  • Enhance current market relationships and cultivate new transaction sources, both internally and externally
  • Build relationships with financial institutions, brokers and potential operating partners
  • Maintain and protect the culture and values of the firm
  • Profile :

  • Demonstrable experience within top tier Real Estate Investment Banking firm
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Proven financial modelling skills and analytical judgement as well as an ability to lead the due diligence process and valuations
  • Highly effective communication skills with an ability to generate respect and trust from colleagues, investment partners and counterparts
  • Strong project management ability
  • Self-starter with a high degree of integrity and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Exceptionally entrepreneurial attitude and mind-set
  • Proven ability to understand various real estate deal structures across various types of properties
  • In addition to English, fluency in a second European language is preferential
